John Tenniel's 'Nursery Alice'...

I found some postcards when I went to Oxford of John Tenniel's drawings which had been coloured - it was surprising to see her with a yellow dress, as I was so used to the image of her with blonde hair and a blue dress. I find it quite interesting how easily a character can change when you manipulate a relatively small aspect of their appearance.

I later found out that the series was called Tenniel's 'Nursery Alice'.
