Artist Inspiration: Lotte Reininger...

Reininger was a great inspiration in my project because of her use of silhouettes in her storytelling. She was a film director who pioneered silhouette animation, producing over 40 films with this method. Throughout my FMP, I've liked the drama and contrast of silhouettes and flat figures created with a scalpel, especially when you can get in closer and add more detail to the images.

I find the fact that you can't see the features of the characters, along with the stunted and jerky movement quite disturbing, or at least disconcerting. What do you think?
