Inspiration...Abelardo Morell

This is what gave me the idea in the first place, having the characters standing upright, away from the book and interacting with the real world really captured my imagination. I also really like his use of light and shadows and the stark black and white images, which really highlight the illustrated aspect of the subject matter.
